You’re more than a score.

JD-Next is an 8-week online program that culminates in a law school admissions assessment. Use JD-Next as an evidence-based alternative to the LSAT or GRE, where accepted, or as a powerful addendum that demonstrates your readiness for the 1L classroom.

A New Pathway for Law School Applicants

JD-Next is both an online course and an admissions assessment. It builds essential first-year law skills—case law analysis, legal reasoning, and analytical writing—and measures proficiency in those areas. This approach better reflects law school readiness and offers an alternative path for students.

Admissions Assessment

For the 2025-26 law school admissions cycle, over 60 law schools can accept JD-Next instead of the LSAT.

Application Addendum

Your JD-Next score and course completion offer another way to showcase your grit, determination, and law school readiness.

Writing Sample

JD-Next includes a law-focused writing sample, giving admissions committees added insight into candidates’ analytical and communication skills.
